Erik ten Hag has selected his Manchester United side to face Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup third round.

The Reds are defending the trophy we won last February, with a home tie against Roy Hodgson's Eagles.

The 20:00 BST kick-off, being shown live on Sky Sports in the UK, is the first of two successive fixtures with the south Londoners, with a Premier League meeting to come on Saturday afternoon.

There are seven changes in total, including a first start for Sofyan Amrabat, after his late substitute appearance at Burnley last time out. The Morocco international appears likely to start at left-back after coming on for Sergio Reguilon in that position at Turf Moor.

Harry Maguire and Mason Mount return from injury, as does Raphael Varane, another substitute on Saturday, who captains the team.

Hannibal is rewarded for an impressive display with a second start on the trot, while the whole frontline is altered. Anthony Martial leads the line, with South Americans Alejandro Garrnacho and Facundo Pellistri on the flanks.

In big news for Palace, Dean Henderson makes his debut for the Eagles, following his summer move from Old Trafford on a permanent basis.

United: Onana; Dalot, Varane (c), Maguire, Amrabat; Casemiro, Hannibal; Pellistri, Mount, Garnacho; Martial.

Substitutes: Bayindir, Heaton, Evans, Lindelof, Fernandes, Gore, van de Beek, Hojlund, Rashford.
