Erik ten Hag

Revealed: Our team to face Fulham

Friday 16 August 2024 18:45

Manchester United's starting XI has been revealed, ahead of the opening Premier League match of the new 2024/25 season.

Erik ten Hag has selected Noussair Mazraoui in his starting XI, meaning the Morocco international enjoys a United debut three days after signing from Bayern Munich.

Fellow summer arrivals Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee have been named among the substitutes, and would also be making their Reds bows if called upon.

The trio, along with Leny Yoro, will be introduced to the crowd prior to kick-off.

New signings to be welcomed before Fulham game

De Ligt, Mazraoui, Yoro and Zirkzee will be personally introduced to the Old Trafford crowd before kick-off.

Mazraoui replaces Jonny Evans in the only change from Saturday's Community Shield meeting with Manchester City at Wembley.

That means that, ahead of Andre Onana, Harry Maguire partners Lisandro Martinez in defence, with Diogo Dalot the other full-back in the team.

Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo are in midfield, behind Amad, Mason Mount, Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes, so it's a fluid-looking attack for us on opening night.
