Ten Hag: Casemiro is our 'cement'

Amplifying his praise for Casemiro, our Dutch boss insists that having him on the pitch helps to connect our play.

''I call him the cement in the midfield,'' he began in his post-match press conference.

''I think in and out of possesion, he makes such a difference and he gives the team [an] extra edge and helps them dominate.

''I say in and out of possession because he can dominate games and he gives the team [that] extra edge to help dominate in the game.

Having now only been on the losing side twice since his summer move from Real Madrid, the 30-year-old continues to become a integral part of the Reds' progression under Ten Hag's tutelage.

With only four games now until the season pauses for the start of the World Cup in Qatar, our next outing sees the Reds travel to Spain to take on Real Sociedad in the Europa League.
