Erik ten Hag reacts to quarter-final draw

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reacted to his side drawing Fulham in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-final.

The Reds will be at home against the impressive London side after coming from behind to beat West Ham United 3-1 with an Nayef Aguerd own goal and strikes from Alejandro Garnacho and Fred.

Ten Hag’s men have not played the Cottagers in the FA Cup since 2013, winning 4-1 at Old Trafford, when Javier Hernandez netted twice. This will be our 15th meeting in the competition, we've won eight of the previous ties and lost two, including a famous 5-3 semi-final victory at Highbury in 1958.

United travelled to Craven Cottage in the Premier League earlier this season, winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Christian Eriksen and Garnacho in our final game before the World Cup.

Speaking to the official broadcasters after the victory over West Ham, the Dutchman is delighted to playing at the Theatre of Dreams once again, we've had home draws in all of the domestic cups this term, but is preparing for a tough game against the in-form promoted side.

“When you have an away game, you have to deal with it," he said. "And we should do but, of course, we are happy to play at Old Trafford. We like Old Trafford. Old Trafford is a fortress. Old Trafford is our home. Old Trafford is a good fight. But when we play away, we have to play good as well. And we also enjoy playing away.

“It is difficult. They are playing really well. So, we have to be really well prepared to win that game.”

The last-eight encounter is due to be played between 17 and 19 March but will presumably be on the Sunday, with Ten Hag's men in Europa League action against Real Betis on the preceding Thursday. Official confirmation has still to be received, though, on the date and time of the game.

Manchester City are at home to Vincent Kompany's Burnley, Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers meet in an all-Championship tie and Brighton & Hove Albion entertain giantkillers Grimsby Town.
