Erik: This was a massive win

Erik ten Hag felt his Manchester United team produced a solid performance "from the first whistle till the end" at Craven Cottage, as Fulham were eventually defeated 1-0.

The manager cited an early disallowed goal from Scott McTominay and the injury-time winner from Bruno Fernandes as evidence that his team did enough througout the 90 minutes to pick up three much-needed points in the Premier League.

Here are Ten Hag's comments from his interview with MUTV, which you can also watch below...

Erik: This team has good spirit

Erik ten Hag tells MUTV's Zarah Connolly that he is pleased with more than just the end result at Craven Cottage...

FULL-TIME FEELING

"It's a good feeling of course. If you win it always is. But the performance was good. It's a massive win and a solid performance."

CHARACTER IN THE SQUAD

"This team has a good spirit and they are strong and they fight for each other, I think for the whole game. But as I said, it was solid. On the ball, we took dominance in the game and I think the pressing, and it's not easy against a good side as Fulham, they're very good on the ball, but we got the press right."

FROM START TO FINISH

"It's always great when you score in the dying seconds of the game, I would always say that you win a game, but we scored already in the first half, very quickly in the game. So we can say from the whistle till the end, we played a good game."

MOMENTUM FOR DENMARK TRIP

"We take that with us. That is what I also said to the group. But this attitude, you need it every game. There are no easy games, we know that. But you have to bring this. And today it was written."
