'The fans will enjoy Christian Eriksen'
Every pre-season game - including Crystal Palace (11:10 BST Tuesday 19 July) - will be shown live in our app and on ManUtd.com.
Erik ten Hag is delighted to be able to have Christian Eriksen at Manchester United, after the Dane completed his move on Friday.
The 30-year-old has signed a three-year-deal at Old Trafford and United will be his third Premier League club, after spells with Tottenham and Brentford.
Eriksen also won league titles at Ajax and Inter and the boss believes his experience will be vital - and that our forwards will be excited about working with him.
“He’s an experienced player. He plays in countries abroad, in Italy, in Holland, a long time in England, so he knows the Premier League,” Erik told us.
“It’s an absolute advantage that we have him in.
“I think he is a magnificent football player and I think the fans will enjoy watching him, because he’s creative, he has ideas,” Erik expanded.
“I think especially our strikers will also be happy because he’s the one who can involve them in the game.”
Eriksen's arrival was swiftly followed by the announcement on Sunday that terms have been agreed with Ajax for the transfer of defender Lisandro Martinez.
Tyrell Malacia has also been added to the side this summer and Ten Hag is focused on getting the right players in, such as the Danish midfielder, who has made 115 appearances for his national side.
“The fact that we've got him, we have him now in our squad, tells everything, because I think we were really selective.
“It was not the point to get players in, but the right players in. I’m really happy that we succeeded with Christian Eriksen.”
