Ten Hag reveals United's team news
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has appeared to rule four players out of Thursday's Europa League tie with Omonia Nicosia.
The boss has stressed that he will not use the fixture to give game-time to fringe players, as he is determined to secure three points in the bid to top Group E.
"All out for the victory," he asserted. "It's Europe, it's tough. The first game is the most important. We want to be number one in the group so we want to win that game."
Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial look set to be sidelined for the 20:00 BST kick-off at Old Trafford.
However, Marcus Rashford will train at Carrington on Wednesday, after overcoming a knock he sustained when blocking a shot in the dying seconds of the win at Everton.
Scott McTominay's suspension is a domestic one, meaning he will miss the visit of Newcastle United on Sunday.
When asked about the possibility of resting Christian Eriksen, Ten Hag added: "All the players, we have to manage their game-time and that is what I do. That is why we have double positions. But we need players who have quality. So if players have issues, players can come in, and this is good."
Ronaldo, fresh from his goal at Goodison, will be in contention to start at Old Trafford.
"He is getting in better shape now so he can contribute more to the squad and that is good for him," explained the manager.
OMONIA'S TEAM NEWS
Manager Neil Lennon will be without keeper Fabiano, who performed well in the match last week in Cyprus. Although results of a scan were still awaited, it has been reported that a shoulder injury definitely rules the Brazilian out of the travelling squad.
Omonia lost 1-0 to AEL in Limassol on Monday but Bruno was a threat again, and he looks set to be the danger man again in the Old Trafford tie.
Midfielder Fouad Bashirou and Ioannis Kousoulos are said to be unavailable for the visitors.
