Ten Hag: Fans have key role in home form
Erik ten Hag has praised Manchester United fans for the role they have played in this season’s outstanding form at Old Trafford – and urged them to again turn the Theatre of Dreams into a fortress for Saturday’s visit by Wolverhampton Wanderers.
United have gone 26 games without defeat at home in all competitions this season – a record stretching back eight months – and Ten Hag wants the supporters on top form for the crucial Premier League clash with Julen Lopetegui’s side.
“Being at Old Trafford will be a huge advantage…because we have seen repeatedly this season just how big a difference our fantastic home support can make,” he wrote in his notes for United Review, the official match programme.

Ten Hag reiterated the point when asked by journalists what explained our strong home form in his pre-match press conference on Friday.
“We believe in the way we work,” he said. “The way we play and then the togetherness with the fans, so I think we have a strong bond.
“There is a real good ambience at Old Trafford and I think it is difficult for opponents to arrive here and to face us.”
Fans will be able to watch Leeds United’s clash with Newcastle United – an important game at both ends of the table – live on BT Sport in the Old Trafford concourses and hospitality suites after turnstiles open, before taking their seats to welcome the team and roar them on in pursuit of three crucial points.
