Wheatley signs new United contract
Ethan Wheatley has signed a new contract with Manchester United.
The young striker has agreed a fresh deal to run until 2028, with the option of a further year.
Wheatley, who officially joined United at the age of nine, having been part of the pre-Academy, has already featured four times for the first team.
The forward played a key part in United's successful Academy team in 2023/24, including scoring against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, in the national final, and twice in the Premier League cup final against Manchester City, helping the Under-18s to secure three trophies.
During the first half of this season, at the age of 18, he averaged a goal every 117 minutes in Premier League 2 before joining League Two promotion-chasers Walsall on loan in January.
