Manchester United have little time to recover from a deflating defeat at Istanbul Basaksehir with a lunchtime fixture at Everton next on the agenda.

Following the long flight home from Turkey, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will need to reassess his squad with the Goodison Park encounter set to provide a real challenge in the final fixture before another international break.

Carlo Ancelotti's Toffees were early leaders of the Premier League but a fortunate home draw with Liverpool and subsequent losses on the road, to Southampton and Newcastle United, has left the Merseysiders six points clear of the Reds having played a game more.

Solskjaer resisted the temptation to leave anybody behind in Manchester but, after a taking a full-strength squad to Istanbul, it emerged defender Victor Lindelof is still being troubled by a bad back which must cast some doubt over his availability for Saturday.

Dean Henderson started in goal but David De Gea is expected to return, along with influential midfielder Fred, for what promises to be a test of character and stamina.

Alex Telles was still missing in midweek after testing positive for COVID-19 but Jesse Lingard is getting closer to regaining fitness. Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are injured.

Anthony Martial, our goalscorer at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium, is eligible after serving his three-match domestic suspension while Edinson Cavani had the most minutes of any of his outings since arriving, during the 2-1 loss, when coming off the bench in the second half.

There are key decisions to be made all over the pitch, with Scott McTominay and Mason Greenwood among those in contention to start.
