Amorim: We deserved the win in the end

Ruben Amorim on injury concerns, Bruno’s great personality and the importance of the result v Rangers…

Congrats on the win, what do you make of it?
"It is hard to deal because we didn't deserve the draw at the moment. I think it was fair to say we deserved to win the game. We already knew it is tough in this moment and we start well. The pace of the game helped us because it is different and you can feel it. We tried to do things and we were better with the ball. We controlled well in the beginning and then we lost control for seven minutes because some of our passes in transition. We created the best chances and we deserved to win."

Garnacho, is that his last game?
"I am focused on the games and he is here, he is here playing for Manchester United. He was really important for us today so let's see in the next days."
Is Alejandro back to his best?
"I think he is improving in every aspect in the game. He was better today playing inside, also outside and changing positions. He is improving the recovering position and until 90 minutes he is always there and helping. Sometimes he shows some frustrations because he wants more. I think he has potential to be so much better and in these situations of the game. But what I can say is he understood what I am trying to do and I just want to be clear, I am trying to help them. In the end it is them that do the job."

De Ligt's disallowed goal?
"If it was in the Premier League it would be different, but we have to accept that. The best thing is we did it again in the set-piece in the second half. We are improving on set-pieces and we have an intense course in the Premier League with set-pieces and we can use it in Europe and you can do more in the Premier League, a little bit more, to score a goal. In that aspect it was a good performance."
Braga revenge for Rangers loss?
"It was a long time, it was really strange in those two matches as we were winning 2-0 and then [Steven] Gerrard and his team changed some things. I was not thinking about that. It was a victory that we truly needed in this moment."

Transfers?

"It is not other managers' players, they are now my players. You know the situation of the club and then we have to think what brought us to this moment and to this situation. We need to be really clear on everything and now my focus is on the next games. I understand the question but they are my players at the moment."
