Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has described Thursday's Europa League clash with Viktoria Plzen as a 'must-win'.

The boss spoke with confidence earlier this evening as he looked ahead to our sixth European outing of the season so far.

Joined by defender Tyrell Malacia, Ruben was quizzed on topics including our January business and his vision for the Reds.

SUPPORT FROM ABOVE
"The first thing that I want to say is since the first day I have felt great support from the ownership. From Omar [Berrada] and then also from Jason [Wilcox], and Dan [Ashworth] was part of that. Really, really, really felt the support from them also. But this is football and sometimes these things happen with players and with coaches. I know it is not the best situation but the important thing is we continue in our way. The path is really clear for everybody. I think this can happen in football."

DAN ASHWORTH'S DEPARTURE
"I have felt, since day one, the support from everybody so one person leaving doesn't change nothing. Of course it is a bad situation like I said because you are talking about a human being, a professional that supports us as a team. I think the most important thing is that the vision is really clear and that vision does not change only because one person leaves."
EUROPA LEAGUE BEST ROUTE TO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE?
"I as a coach I cannot focus on just that. The way we can see in the future, titles or something. Our goal is to win our Premier League. That is our goal. Of course you can do the math and you can understand that for a big club like us to be in the Champions League is so important. You can see and look at the table that from the Europa League, maybe it is easier. You can then perhaps take this information for this context but I am not focused on that and our goal is to win the Premier League, not just to go to the Champions League. To go [to] the Champions League is an important point to win the Premier League, that is really clear. But for me, the most important thing is to win and to see something different in the team in every game."

WHAT WENT WRONG AGAINST FOREST?
"It is really simple. I think against Nottingham [Forest] we should pass the ball a little bit quicker, so it is with safety but a little bit more quicker when everything is blocked. For me the most important point is that every player should be in the good position to start when we play. We were controlling the game and we started the second half very well and if you remember one play, Leny Yoro makes a one-two, jumps and then makes a bad pass. He [gives them] a counter attack and then, a goal. We have to continue to play in the same way but with a low block. It is this kind of details and you have to play the ball by preparing to lose the ball sometimes. These kind of points are really important in our team because in the past, and still, in this moment you can see a lot of moments like this. I can remember just from the top of my head, the game against Liverpool, all the goals were mostly like that and we are doing work on that. You see the same thing last week so we are trying to improve with the ball but also the way when you can lose the ball, you are covering our own goal."
BUY TO SELL IN JANUARY?
"I'm really focused on my players and understanding my players, I think that was one of the problems of this club. We have to focus on what we have, the Academy and also to have the clear profile when you get the players. It is a lot of details you have to manage. Every detail counts. You have to be very clear in the profiles, arrange all the processes and then go to that phase of buying and selling. We have, like Ty [Malacia], international players that are good players and we need our time to teach our idea, then we will see. This is a massive club, we have to improve as a team. We have to arrange a lot of things in our club before just in buying and selling players. Let's focus on improving our players, improving our Academy and then we will see."

VISION FOR UNITED
"I cannot tell you about the vision in just a press conference. We want to take this club to winning the Premier League and to be an elite club like this club should be. In this way we have to make changes because of the context, I don't know. You can change the coach because you do not have the results, so you can have a vision. Sometimes you make a slight change in direction too see the same goal, so this could happen in football and we are focussed on winning the Premier League. That is the main goal of this club."

WILL WE SEE MOVEMENT IN JANUARY?
"I really don't know, there is a lot at stake in this moment, we have a lot to do. A lot of games and we don't have time to train. The players have contracts and we have to see them with a new coach, a new idea. Sometimes I have one idea in one week and sometimes I have another idea in the second week. We have to see what happens. The game are so close during the opening of the window in January, so I really don't know and I'm just focused on improving the team. I cannot think so much further than the next game. Like any other team when the window is open we can do something but in this moment, our focus is to win games and we have to have this feeling of winning, and we have to start tomorrow."
FIRST FEW WEEKS AT UNITED
"I already knew it. You guys ask, I respond. I already knew it was a big job and I have a long way to go. It is really important to win away and even in the league, we know that it is really tough to win away in the Premier League. We are Manchester United and we have to improve on that but also in winning at home, because we lost the last game. It is really important to go to the next stage to win tomorrow because of all of that. It is really important for us as a club, as a team, in this moment that if you pass to the next stage without play-off you take two games from our schedule and that is massive. For some teams it is nothing but for us it is really important. But we are facing a team that maybe a lot of people in England don't know the name of but they are unbeaten at home. In Europe they are very strong they run a lot and we cannot play the game one v one in all of the pitch like they want, we have to have possession, we have to control transitions and we have to be very good in second phases, like after crosses, then next cross. We have to improve in these details. We have to be so much better in set-pieces and we have to win it. It is so important that we win but not just win but [also] to play well. Tomorrow is going to be really really tough. Ty is prepared for that and he is going to play so we are really prepared for the game."
