Evie Rabjohn completes Celtic transfer

We would like to wish Evie Rabjohn the best of luck for the future, as she completes a permanent transfer from Manchester United Women to Celtic.

Rabjohn has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons as a Red, after signing her first professional contract upon joining United from Aston Villa ahead of the 2023/24 term.

The 20-year-old made her debut and one appearance for the first team during that campaign, helping United to beat Everton 7-0 in the League Cup.

Evie's United debut came against Everton in November 2023.

Before making the move to Manchester, Evie spent much of her youth career in the Midlands and had spells developing at both Birmingham City and Aston Villa.

It was at Villa where her senior journey began, with a first-team debut at the age of just 16 against Sheffield United in another League Cup tie, before she made her WSL bow at 17 in a clash with Leicester City during the 2022/23 term.

Before the end of that season, Evie was training with United before formally registering her move from Villa ahead of the following campaign.

On the back of getting her first minutes for the Reds in 2023/24, an ACL injury suffered on duty with England’s Under-19s ruled her out for the entirety of last season, but she returned to action in our pre-season and spent the first half of the current term on loan with WSL2 side Sunderland.

Rabjohn made six appearances on Wearside before being recalled in January, and she has since been training back at Carrington ahead of this next chapter in her young career.

The defender joins a Celtic side that is currently second in the Scottish Women’s Premier League, five points back from leaders Glasgow City, and pursuing their second top-flight title after a historic maiden success two years ago.

Thank you for all of your efforts as a United player, Evie.
