The Reds' league schedule for next season has been released.

THE FIRST FIVE FIXTURES

United take on Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur, Nottingham Forest, Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion in our opening five weeks of the season, in that order.

The trips to Spurs and Arsenal stand out, as well as the home clash with Brighton as they were the only side to beat us at Old Trafford in the Premier League in 2022/23.

From those five games, 69 per cent of our supporters said they were most excited by the away game against the Gunners.

The very first fixture of 2023/24, against Wolves, was the next most popular pick with 12 per cent, while the visit to Spurs gained 10 per cent.

PROMOTED SIDES

Burnley, Luton Town and Sheffield United are the new opponents on our fixture list in 2023/24, following their promotion to the Premier League. Luton are, in fact, back in the top flight for the first time since 1992 when it was rebranded from the First Division.

The Reds take on both the Clarets and the Blades away from home before the turn of the year, while the Hatters are the only one of the promoted sides to visit Old Trafford prior to the New Year.

Of the trio, Luton emerged as the team our supporters are most looking forward to facing in 2023/24, with 48 per cent of the vote to Burnley's 38 and Sheffield United's 14.

FESTIVE FIXTURES

Games against West Ham (23 December), Aston Villa (26 December) and Nottingham Forest (30 December) await the Reds during the Christmas and New Year period, a phase in which Erik ten Hag's side found great form last season.

Of course, there was a winter break for the 2022 World Cup, but the Reds returned to action with an emphatic 3-0 triumph over Forest on 27 December 2022.

Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Boxing Day was backed by a whopping 54 per cent of United supporters as our most difficult match over the festive period, while 40 per cent selected West Ham away.
