Fan signing area introduced at Leigh Sports Village
The club has introduced a new post-match autograph signing area at Leigh Sports Village following a review of player engagement opportunities ahead of Manchester United's WSL home fixture on Sunday.
Support for Marc Skinner's team continues to grow year-on-year and now the introduction of the dedicated signing area will ensure that the women’s game remains safe, accessible and enjoyable for all fans going forward.
What’s changing?
After the final whistle, players will no longer stop and sign autographs within the stadium or outside on the Leigh Sports Village campus. This is to protect post-match player recovery time, alleviate supporter congestion pitchside and improve traffic flow when leaving the stadium.
Going forward, junior and under-16 ticket holders are invited to apply for tickets to attend a post-match meet and greet with a selection of United players.
Applications will take place on a match-by-match basis and successful fans will automatically be placed in the back of the queue for the next ballot. On matchday, selected fans will have access to a dedicated 'hub' located opposite the stadium to meet the players for a photo and signature after the final whistle.
The new player engagement proposal has been reviewed by our official Manchester United Women’s Supporters’ Club and the post-match player signing area will commence from this Sunday when Tottenham Hotspur Women provide the opposition.
This weekend, we will prioritise the junior fans who held a ticket for the postponed Chelsea fixture last Sunday.
Tickets are available for the game against Spurs at Leigh Sports Village here.
