Sometimes, a player perfectly suits his kits and that is most definitely the case when it comes to Antony wearing his new Manchester United strips for 2022/23.

It was confirmed today that the Brazilian has completed his transfer from Ajax to become our fifth signing of the summer, following Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro.

The 22-year-old forward has signed a five-year contract as a Red with the option of a further season and he cannot wait to link up again with his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

It remains to be seen when Antony will make his first appearance for United, but for now fans can see him wearing our adidas kits via these exclusive photos below.

You can check out our full range of 22/23 kit at United Direct.

THE SIGNING INTERVIEW

The young and exciting talent speaks with so much passion about joining United and working once again with his mentor Ten Hag, who has shaped so much of his fledgling career so far.

The two-time Eredivisie champion also looks forward to his reunion with former Ajax team-mate Martinez, plus fellow Brazil internationals Casemiro and Fred.

After discussing the famous Old Trafford atmosphere and what he will bring to the squad, Antony opens up on his tough upbringing in the Brazilian favellas and explains how it shaped him as a man.

Trust us, you don’t want to miss his Q&A – read it or watch it from 11:00 BST.
ANOTHER SAMBA STAR

In case you were wondering, Antony is set to become the 10th player from Brazil to represent United at senior level.

Kleberson was the first in 2003, followed by Anderson, Rodrigo Possebon and the Da Silva twins, Fabio and Rafael.

Andreas Pereira was our sixth Brazilian and we currently have three more on the books in Fred, Alex Telles (currently on loan at Sevilla) and Casemiro.
