The Fans' Forum in five
The fourth and final Fans’ Forum of the 23/24 season took place on Monday 8 July at Old Trafford.
Fan representatives embody United’s far-reaching and expansive fanbase and regularly meet with club representatives throughout the season to discuss, consult and feed back on collective supporter matters and interests.
The Fans’ Forum encompasses ticket policies and processes through to operations and local networks (transport, infrastructure) and incorporates United’s charitable arm, the Manchester United Foundation.
Forum meetings are recorded, and the minutes are published onsite for fan review. The full minutes from the meeting can be accessed here.
Fan Engagement: Reviewing 2023/24
ArticleRead Collette Roche's end-of-season report on our activity over the past year.
We’ve collated the top five takeaways from the last forum of 2023/24 below:
SUMMER WORKS
We’ve been making some improvements to Old Trafford ahead of the new season, including upgrading the players' tunnel (for the first time since 1993), replacing the executive seating in the Stretford End with general admission tickets and the installation of more rail seating in the north-west quadrant.
APP TICKETS
The forum and club collectively decided on initiatives to support all fans using app tickets at the first match of season. Fans will be supported with earlier access to ticket QR codes, “here to help” stewards and officials around the stadium footprint, app ticket shortcuts to improve user experience and early stadium entry incentives.
APPLY TO BE A FAN REP
We will be accepting applications for a new Season Ticket holder fan rep, UK Supporters’ Club fan rep, Loyalty Pot fan rep and United Member fan rep to join the Fans’ Forum next season. In addition, we are welcoming applications for two appointed roles on the Fans’ Advisory Board. More details will follow on the club website.
IAN STIRLING FAN AWARD
Joe Glanville from the Malta Supporters’ Club is our deserved winner of the Ian Stirling Award, thanks to his lifelong contribution to United and efforts in facilitating the Munich 66th anniversary exhibition in February. The club thanks Joe for his ongoing dedication.
TICKET DONATIONS
Your ticket donations helped us to raise £567,000 for the Manchester United Foundation this season. Thanks to your generosity, the Foundation supports young people in some of the most socially deprived areas of the UK.
The first Fans’ Forum of the 2024/25 season will take place in autumn.
