Fantasy Premier League: First United prices revealed
Ahead of the new Fantasy Premier League season, the prices of four more Manchester United stars in the popular game have been revealed.
During a special episode of the official FPL Show on Monday, the cost of one player from each of the 20 top-flight teams was confirmed, with Reds midfielder Bruno Fernandes unveiled as an £8.5 million midfielder prior to August’s big kick-off.
Since then, clubs have been taking turns to disclose the fantasy fees of a further quartet from their squads, and we can now let you know how much a particular United assemblage – including Marcus Rashford - will each set you back in game money at the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
Our no.10 kicked off 2022/23 at £6.5m – eventually finishing the campaign at £7.2m – and his hike in cost this time around reflects the standout Premier League term that he had in Erik ten Hag’s first year in charge.
Rashy notched 17 league goals, as well as providing seven contributions that went down as assists in the FPL game.
Marcus finished as United’s highest-scoring fantasy player – and fifth across the Premier League - with 205 points, while only Manchester City forward Erling Haaland and Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier were in more FPL managers’ teams than our man, by the final round of matches.
The winger could provide an alternative and more affordable route to points in the United attack than Fernandes and Rashford, who are pricier assets.
Sancho started 10 of United’s last 13 Premier League matches, last time around, and provided nine goal contributions that were registered in the fantasy game across our campaign, bettered only by the aforementioned duo, and Christian Eriksen.
Diogo Dalot (102 points) and Luke Shaw (124) were the Reds’ highest-scoring fantasy defenders across the previous 38 gameweeks and will kick off 2023/24 at £5m and £5.5m respectively.
The pair both made regular contributions to both United’s defence and attack in the league, while playing important roles in Ten Hag’s system, and are poised to do so again in the forthcoming term.
Be sure to keep an eye on ManUtd.com and the United App ahead of the new season for news of more FPL prices when they are released.
The game is yet to launch for 2023/24, although you can register your account now on the Premier League website, if you want to be ready to pick your squad.
