Club legend Gary Neville has chosen his favourite current Manchester United player during a quickfire question-and-answer session with fans on Twitter.

Our ex-captain took time out from preparing for covering tonight's Premier League game at Crystal Palace for Sky Sports to engage with some of his followers on social media.

In addition to tipping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Reds to lift the Emirates FA Cup this term, ahead of the quarter-final tie at Leicester City later this month, Neville was asked to identify his favourite current United player.

Mason Greenwood has impressed former Red Gary Neville.

"Mason Greenwood," was his unequivocal response, with the former England international a huge fan of the homegrown teenager.

Mason is continuing to learn under Ole's tutelage and is developing his game, showing more signs of real promise in recent weeks.

Neville declared current first-team coach Darren Fletcher was his most under-rated team-mate and he also had a word about Solskjaer's first-choice full-backs in Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

"Stay fit and he's a fantastic left-back," Gary said of Shaw, who has been in fabulous form.

Regarding Wan-Bissaka, who plays in the same position as the Treble winner did, he commented: "Love his commitment, defending 1 v 1. Just needs to polish up his play. I was the same as a young RB (right-back)."

Crystal Palace v United kicks off at 20:15 GMT.
