FAMILY FIRST

Geyse has a number of tattoos on her body but some of her favourites include a picture of her mother on her arm and also the names of her father and brothers. Speaking about the tattoos, the 25-year-old said that it was important to have the picture of her Mum because then she would be able to travel with her always. Geyse also gifted her mother and siblings a house with the money she earned from football.

FUTSAL BEGINNINGS

Geyse's career started in Brazilian Futsal in Pernambuco before she moved to grass football, playing for Uniao Desportiva Alagoana (UDA). She was spotted by a sport teacher as she was playing on the beach. The former Barcelona star would take a four-hour bus to get to training and back until she was called up to represent Brazil's U20 national team. After spells with Centro Olimpico and Corinthians, Geyse made her move to the Spanish league in 2017, signing for Madrid CFF. Since then, she has played all her domestic football in both Portugal and Spain, turning out for both Benfica and Barca.

FOOTBALLING IDOLS

Geyse has been playing in the Brazilian international team since 2017 alongside famous players including Marta and Formiga. She classes both as her idols and role models. Speaking about her teammates, she said: "It was really important to see them chasing their dreams when they didn't have the support in women's football.

''This increased my desire to succeed and develop women's football in our country. Watching Formiga and Marta, Formiga especially as we have a great bond and she always gives me advice whenever she sees me.

''Having them as role models is not only rewarding for me but for all girls that want to become footballers in our country. For anyone familiar with Marta, Formiga and Cristiane's stories, it's rewarding to have them as roles models."

SERIAL WINNER

As well as winning the Champions League trophy with Barcelona last season, Geyse has also won both the Primera Division and Supercopa de Espana.

As part of the U20 Brazil team in 2018, Geyse won the South American U20 Women's Championship. She was also named the Golden Boot winner and the Player of the tournament.

HISTORY IN HER SIGHTS

Geyse told us in her signing interview that she wants to make history at the club and bring trophies to Manchester United.

She said: "You can expect the very best from me, I came here to do my best in every game and bring them joy.

"I look forward to seeing the fans celebrating my goals in the stands."
