Paul Pogba

How Pogba made Premier League history

Paul Pogba made Premier League history with his flicked assist for Mason Greenwood's Manchester United equaliser against Southampton on Sunday.

The 19-year-old fired home on 55 minutes to draw the Reds level at St Mary's after Che Adams' deflected effort (which later went down as a Fred own goal) had put the hosts ahead on the half-hour mark.

Can we take a moment to marvel again at the quality of Paul Pogba's through ball for Mason Greenwood..?

Bruno Fernandes and Pogba showed great endeavour inside the Saints area as they combined, with the latter flicking the ball into Greenwood's path to fire home.

On the back of an incredible four assists against Leeds last weekend in our 5-1 victory, the Frenchman claimed another and in turn set a new Premier League milestone.

This latest goal set-up meant Paul has become the first player in Premier League history to register five assists after his team’s first two games of a single season.

Here's hoping there will be many more to come this season.
