Manchester United fans around the world can now receive the latest news and content, by following the club’s official WhatsApp Channel.
The one-way broadcast platform will allow admins to send text, photos, videos, stickers and polls in a safe and succinct manner, so you can stay up to date with everything that is happening.
It is estimated that 2.7 billion people actively use WhatsApp, and it is fair to say the free app’s brand-new functionality is changing the way that organisations communicate directly.
WhatsApp users will see a new tab called ‘Updates’, between ‘Chats’ and ‘Calls’.
This is where you can find information from the channels you subscribe to. Just search for ‘Manchester United’ and hit follow to start receiving messages.
Personal information of both admins and followers is protected and who you choose to follow is also private.
Unlike personal chats, you cannot respond to messages either, but you can react with emojis and see which posts are driving the most reactions.
