Manchester United Women face Leicester City in the Women's Super League at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

The Reds will be looking to return to winning ways after drawing 2-2 with Tottenham at Leigh Sports Village last time out.

Maya Le Tissier netted a dramatic equaliser late on to rescue a point after Melvine Malard's early finish was overturned by goals from Tottenham forwards Bethany England and Jessica Naz.

TEAM NEWS

Skinner's pre-match media briefing on Friday is likely to provide a fresh update on his squad, including full-back Jayde Riviere, who has missed our last three matches.

Gabby George, Jess Simpson and Emma Watson remain unavailable for selection due to their long-term injuries.

The home side have a couple of concerns, with defender Courtney Nevin edging closer to a return. Young forward Denny Draper is set to remain out.

Former Red Aimee Palmer could be involved on Sunday; the Foxes midfielder was part of our squad in our inaugural season which led to promotion from the Championship.

THE OPPOSITION

Leicester are currently 10th in the WSL standings (the position they finished in last campaign) with four victories, five draws and 10 defeats in 19 games so far this season.

They are without a win in their previous five matches across all competitions, with four of those ending in defeat, including last weekend's 3-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

However, the Foxes are still set to provide a tricky test on the road for United, and one player to watch could be forward Jutta Rantala, who has 10 goals and six assists to her name in all competitions in 2023/24.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

This will be the 12th meeting between the two sides, with United possessing the stronger record with seven wins to Leicester's one and three draws.

The points were shared in the reverse league fixture in 2023/24, as Aileen Whelan opened the scoring for Leicester before Le Tessier's glancing header made it 1-1.

Back in December, we defeated Leicester 3-1 at Leigh Sports Village in the Continental Tyres League Cup group stage. Lucia Garcia, Lisa Naalsund and Katie Zelem were all on the scoresheet, while Whelan found the net for the Foxes.
