We’ve got a special treat for you tonight – we’ll be streaming the 1999 Champions League final in full, and for free!

Our famous 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich at the Nou Camp will be shown on ManUtd.com and our Official App at 19:00 BST.

The crowning moment of our Treble campaign won the latest vote in our Match Rewind campaign, which aims to bring ‘live’ football to your screens as a way of helping you unwind during these difficult times.

That unbelievable night came out on top in a choice of our five European final successes, narrowly beating our dramatic penalty shootout win over Chelsea from 2008.

THE MATCH

As if you need reminding, the Reds went into injury-time at the Nou Camp trailing, after Mario Basler’s early opener for the Germans.

Carsten Jancker and Mehmet Scholl hit the woodwork in the second-half and it looked like United would be denied a historic Treble at the last hurdle by Ottmar Hitzfeld’s experienced and well-drilled side.

However, as ITV commentator Clive Tyldesley famously mused: Manchester United always score.

It might have taken until the 91st minute, but substitute Teddy Sheringham bundled home in a chaotic penalty area after David Beckham’s corner was only half-cleared to sensationally draw the scores level and seemingly send the tie into extra-time.

But, just 102 seconds later, another Beckham corner was flicked on by Sheringham and fellow sub Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was on hand at the far post to poke home the most famous goal in our long and storied history. United had reached the promised land.

HOW TO WATCH

We’ll be streaming one of the most incredible finals ever in full and for free on the Official App and ManUtd.com at 19:00 BST tonight.
