Manchester United face Aston Villa at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Saturday 23 July, in our fourth match of Tour 2022.

United come into this fixture in fine form, having won all three games on Tour 2022 so far, scoring an impressive 11 goals along the way. 
 
This will be the last game for Ten Hag’s side in Australia, before we head back to Manchester, and then on to Oslo to face Atletico Madrid on 30 July.

WHAT TIME DOES IT KICK OFF?

The Reds' friendly against Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa at the Optus Stadium will take place at 17:45 local time, which is 10:45 BST.

After three consecutive pre-season victories, Ten Hag and his squad will be entering Saturday’s game full of confidence. In preparation for the upcoming fixture, the manager and his men will be working tirelessly on the training ground as they increase preparations for the upcoming start to the season.
 
James Garner and Raphael Varane both missed Tuesday’s game against Crystal Palace – however, both were seen training in Melbourne on Wednesday morning, and again in Perth.
 
Meanwhile, Ten Hag will conduct his pre-match press conference on Friday, where he will discuss the clash against the Villans. The media briefing is expected to begin at 05:30 BST and you can follow all the key talking points on our club channels.

HOW'S VILLA'S FORM?

Aston Villa began their pre-season playing a fixture in England against Walsall, before travelling out to Australia to compete in – and win – the Queensland Champions Cup. They beat Leeds United 1-0 and then defeated Brisbane Roar by the same scoreline, after England youth internationals Kaine Kesler-Hayden and Cameron Archer combined for the latter to score the winning goal.

Villa are unbeaten during pre-season, with head coach Gerrard taking many positives from the previous games. So the Midlanders will hope to continue their strong form against the Reds on Saturday.
