Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an update on Marcus Rashford after the Manchester United striker was forced off against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

Our homegrown no.10 scored his third career goal against the Ligue 1 champions to make it 1-1 in the Champions League match at Old Trafford, after Neymar had broken the deadlock early on.

Unfortunately, despite United starting the second half well, Marquinhos put PSG back in front and Rashford made his exit with an injury shortly afterwards, before Neymar made it 3-1 in added time.
Speaking after the final whistle, a disappointed Solskjaer confirmed the striker is struggling with a shoulder injury that will require medical attention.

“It’s just niggling him, that shoulder injury,” the manager told BT Sport. “Let’s see how quickly he can recover. Let’s hope he can be ready for the West Ham game. But we don’t know.”
As the boss suggests, it now remains to be seen if Rashford will be available for Saturday’s Premier League match at the London Stadium – where kick-off is scheduled for 17:30 GMT.

The Hammers are currently fifth in the table after a run of positive results and Marcus will be determined to be involved, with the Reds keen to build on some improved league form.
David De Gea might also be doubtful for the West Ham game, after the United goalkeeper was seen struggling with an apparent injury during the second half against PSG.

Our no.1 made a stunning one-handed save to push Mitchel Bakker’s shot wide in the 68th minute, but was quickly grimacing and later went down to the ground.

De Gea had passed a fitness test to start after a knee problem forced him off against Southampton last weekend, when Dean Henderson took his place in goal.

Solskjaer gave no update on David’s fitness in his post-media media commitments, so hopefully the Spaniard is not seriously hurt.
