What's in the new Inside United?
The new edition of club magazine Inside United is out today (Wednesday) – specially timed to coincide with the drop of the 2025/26 away kit.
Joining in the launch of the fresh white adidas shirt, the mag has Matheus Cunha on the front cover – looking the part in the kit that he will, hopefully, be wearing for the first time against Leeds United in our opening pre-season match in Stockholm on Saturday, live on MUTV.
Both the new kit and Matheus feature inside this edition, with a full transcript of the no.10’s welcome interview, conducted when he first signed for the club and, during which, he firmly nails his colours to the mast as a Manchester United fan.
The Brazilian also talks about his delight in being handed that prestigious shirt number, namechecking Wayne Rooney as the Red he most associates with having no.10 on his back.
Given Cunha’s arrival, plus that of young Paraguayan prospect Diego Leon, the magazine takes the opportunity to celebrate this club’s overseas players down the years, those who have travelled from beyond the home environs of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland to make Manchester their footballing home.
Over the course of a 21-page long read, the story of overseas migration to M16 is told, with the deeds of individuals such as Eric Cantona, Peter Schmeichel, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Cristiano Ronaldo featuring prominently.
The aforementioned feature includes a detailed map placing each United overseas import in their country of origin. Among the seven players listed under the flag of Spain on that map is Juan Mata – and Juan has a feature of his own in the magazine, speaking about the exhibition he has co-curated at the Aviva Studios as part of the Manchester International Festival.
Juan is not the only hugely popular former United midfielder included in the issue, either… step forward Sir David Beckham, who is the subject of the mag’s ‘By Numbers’ treatment in salute of his recent knighthood.
There’s lots more for readers to enjoy across the 100-page magazine, including club history and fan content – not to mention plenty of build-up to the 2025/26 season, including a preview of this summer’s tour and a full walk-through of United’s fixtures in the new campaign, month by month.
Lots to be excited about!
