Inside United: What's in the new issue?

Tuesday 15 April 2025 02:00

The latest edition of official club magazine Inside United is out today, spearheaded by Manchester United Women.

Fifteen players from the team – who are riding high in the Women’s Super League and booked their place in a third successive FA Cup final at the weekend – appear on a special extended front cover, while inside the issue there is a big feature on United Women’s campaign so far and exciting finale to come.

Stars such as Ella Toone and Grace Clinton also speak exclusively about the big Manchester derby that is coming in early May, to be played at the Theatre of Dreams.

“It means everything to play at Old Trafford,” says Toone, who scored a hat-trick in the 4-2 win over City earlier in the season.

“To step out on the pitch and play in front of all of our fans at such an amazing, special stadium means so much to me.”

Elsewhere in the issue there is an exclusive in-depth interview with Joshua Zirkzee, who discusses his maiden season as a United player and speaks of his delight at the way supporters have taken to and backed him.

Ayden Heaven is also included, as the magazine looks at his journey in the game so far, which has taken him to United via the Arsenal Academy and before that the West Ham youth system.

There is also an exclusive interview with United Women’s Celin Bizet, the Norwegian attacker who is enjoying a fine first season at the club and who was one of the goalscorers in the FA Cup semi-final victory at the weekend.

There’s plenty of club history covered in the issue, with the vintage year that was 1999 under the spotlight, as well as the changing face and footprint of Old Trafford down the decades – a highly topical subject given the recent announcement of plans to build a new stadium, which are also addressed in the magazine.

Talking of Old Trafford, there is a landmark coming in that there have been 4,997 competitive goals scored there by United (men’s team) since the stadium was opened in 1910, so three more takes us to the big 5,000 figure – and in anticipation of that, a special feature identifies the milestone scorers on the way, to name Andrew Cole and Brian McClair as two examples.

There is lots more in the May 2025 edition of Inside United, which is on sale now in shops, at Old Trafford on matchdays, and can be bought or subscribed to online here.
