Reds return as United arrive at training camp

A number of Manchester United's international stars have returned to the club ahead of the new season, joining up with the Reds for our training camp in Scotland.

As United arrived in St. Andrews on Monday morning, captain Harry Maguire was one of those to be pictured back with the team, alongside Victor Lindelof and David De Gea.

Maguire enjoyed a fantastic Euro 2020, receiving plaudits from pundits across Europe, as well as in England, after a string of dominant displays at the back for the beaten finalists.

Sweden defender Victor Lindelof was an important part of the side that were knocked out in the round of 16 by Ukraine, while De Gea was in the Spain squad who lost to eventual winners Italy in the semi-final.

The trio were among those photographed north of the border on Monday morning by our official club photographers.

Also returning to the group is Phil Jones, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having spoken about the 29-year-old's injury battle after our 2-2 friendly draw with Brentford.

Solskjaer told reporters post-match that he'll do everything in his power to make Jones's transition back into first-team football as smooth as possible, having experienced similar injury difficulties in his own career.

United are in Scotland for a three-day training camp as anticipation builds ahead of the new season.

Before our mouth-watering opening Premier League game against Leeds United on 14 August, there is a pre-season friendly against Everton at Old Trafford this Saturday. Fans can watch the game live, exclusively on MUTV.
