Loan news: Devaney joins St Mirren
Jacob Devaney has joined Scottish Premiership side St Mirren on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, subject to international clearance.
The 18-year-old Academy midfielder will gain senior experience with the Paisley club, having impressed for our Under-21s this season.
Devaney has been ever-present in Premier League 2, captaining the Reds in each of our 11 matches in the division.

The Republic of Ireland youth international has been at United for a number of years, and made his debut for the Under-18s aged 15 in 2023.
Able to play in the middle of the park and across the backline, Jacob represented Adam Lawrence's U18s side 29 times during the 2023/24 season, as they lifted three trophies - no player was picked more.
Devaney has continued his development at the older age level, also turning out for the Reds in the EFL Trophy this term and scoring a sublime individual goal against Notts County.
He will now join up with St Mirren, who sit 10th in Scotland's top tier, to further his experience.
