Jadon Sancho is relishing the opportunity of facing familiar foes Liverpool in our final outing of Tour 2024, presented by Snapdragon, in the United States.

United boss Erik ten Hag will take on fellow Dutchman Arne Slot when English football’s greatest rivals lock horns in South Carolina, with kick-off at 00:45 BST on Sunday morning and the action will be screened live on MUTV.

Ahead of the anticipated game, Sam Homewood went for a walk and a talk with Jadon at our UCLA training base in Los Angeles to catch up on his pre-season experience.

MUTV's Sam Homewood has been for a walk and a talk with Jadon about his Tour 2024 experience so far...

“It’s going to be a tough match, obviously the rivalry between us and Liverpool, so it’s going to be a good test for us,” said Sancho, who is back in the United fold having returned from a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund in the second half of last season.

After missing our first pre-season friendly against Rosenborg, Jadon has featured in the Reds’ subsequent three warm-up matches against Rangers, Arsenal and Real Betis - playing 152 minutes in total, operating from both the left flank and as the attacking spearhead.

Sancho has particularly enjoyed being back in the United States, where he feels almost at home with the conditions and facilities.

“It’s been nice, enjoying the weather, back with the lads, it’s been good,” he told MUTV.

“I love the facilities in America. Obviously when I have time off, I usually come to America. This is actually one of the places I do train before pre-season so it’s nice to be back. I wouldn’t say it’s home but yeah it’s a nice facility!”
