Revealed: United's Goal of the Month winner
With the poll now closed, we can now reveal which one of the 10 shortlisted strikes has been chosen as the winner of Manchester United's Goal of the Month accolade for November.
Seven different players were in contention for the award and as the fans' votes flooded in, it was very clear that two of the nominated efforts were the obvious standouts.
Both were exquisite in their execution but they were also important as the Reds booked a place in the last 16 of the Champions League.
In second place with 26% of the vote was Cristiano Ronaldo’s emphatic late leveller at Atalanta's expense in Bergamo. The Portugal captain latched onto a Mason Greenwood pass on the edge of the penalty area to rescue a point for the Reds in dramatic circumstances.
Just beating CR7 to this month’s award was the landmark first United goal for our summer recruit Jadon Sancho. His strike against Villarreal in southern Spain has scooped our November accolade by a margin of 2%.
Our no.25 put the icing on the cake at the Estadio de la Cerámica, as he completed a swift Reds counter attack by smashing his right-footed effort into the back of the net after Bruno Fernandes had laid the ball into his path with just minutes to spare.
The 2-0 victory on the night was the first for caretaker boss Michael Carrick and came just two days after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had departed the club.
Villarreal have been on the receiving end of two Goal of the Month winners this season - Alex Telles’s terrific drive from the edge of the area in the home meeting, back on Champions League Matchday 2, earned September's honour.
Sancho followed up on his award-winning breakthrough when he netted the opener against Chelsea, in the final fixture of November, and here's to that rich vein continuing as December unfolds. Congratulations, Jadon!
