United squad train before Everton tie
The Manchester United squad were pictured working hard at the Aon Training Complex on Monday, as attention turns towards Wednesday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final with Everton.
The tie at Goodison Park will be the Reds’ third match in the last six days and, with Leicester, Wolves and Aston Villa still to come before the first day of 2021 is ticked off, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking to call on as many players as possible to get through the busy period.
Alex Telles, Edinson Cavani and Donny van de Beek, all of whom entered the field as substitutes during our convincing 6-2 victory over Leeds United, were put through their paces in a training match, with Bruno Fernandes and Fred – starters on Sunday – watching on.

Dean Henderson, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood were given a rest at the weekend after featuring in the 3-2 win at Sheffield United, but they are also heavily involved in our images.
Eric Bailly, Tim Fosu-Mensah, Odion Ighalo, Juan Mata, Axel Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams were there too, providing Solskjaer with plenty to think about in terms of which XI he puts out to face the Toffees.
Another Red our photographers caught is Jesse Lingard.
The Academy graduate hasn’t featured for the first-team since the fourth-round win over Brighton in this competition, but Ole told us the 27-year-old has been working hard to put himself in contention and that he is pleased by his work ethic.
