Hugill signs new contract
Joe Hugill has signed a new contract with Manchester United.
The striker has agreed fresh terms that will run until 2026, with the option of a further year.
He has developed well this season and trained regularly with the first team, while being on the bench four times, including for Monday night's Emirates FA Cup third-round victory at Wigan Athletic.
The 20-year-old joined the Reds from Sunderland in the summer of 2020 and has been a regular scorer for our Under-18s and Under-21s.
He was part of the FA Youth Cup-winning squad in 2022, coming on as a substitute in the final against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.
After gaining some valuable experience on loan at Altrincham last term, he showed his finishing prowess with a well-taken goal in the pre-season victory over Leeds United in Oslo.
With seven goals in Premier League 2 in 2023/24, he has provided a cutting edge for Travis Binnion's side and this new deal is a reward for his progress.
Well done, Joe!
