Mourinho reacts to rumour about Ronaldo's return
Jose Mourinho has seemingly played down speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo could make a sensational return to Manchester United this year, by telling reporters that “every manager and every club” in the world wants to sign the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
The boss recently revealed that he expects to make a big signing in the summer and, during a press conference on Thursday afternoon, he was asked if Ronaldo might be that star.
The question follows claims in the Spanish media that Cristiano may be coming to the end of his glittering career in Madrid, with the club sat fourth in La Liga and 19 points behind leaders Barcelona.

“Madrid is on fire - the results are not good,” Jose said at the Aon Training Complex. “But it's a club where I worked for three years and I care about the club. I think I should be the last one to add some fuel to the fire.
“To put some water on the fire, I would say Cristiano is the kind of player that every manager wants, every club wants, but only one manager can have and only one club can have - Zidane and Real Madrid. That's my feeling.”
Mourinho and Ronaldo were of course together during the manager’s three-season spell in charge of Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013. They notably won the La Liga title in Jose’s final campaign in Spain, impressively setting new records for points won and goals scored.
