United squad named for Liverpool Legends game
There will be fresh faces in the line-up - and a new man at the helm - when Manchester United Legends take on Liverpool at Anfield this weekend.
Much-decorated pair Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick are welcome introductions to the midfield and will make their debuts for the Legends side.
Meanwhile, former striker Andy Ritchie will take charge of the team - in the absence of Bryan Robson - and he will be assisted by Andy Cole.
The charity game, which raises vital funds for local communities, kicks off at 15:00 BST on Saturday.
The first leg of the Legends of the North clash with Liverpool was staged at Old Trafford in May, raising over £1.3million for Manchester United Foundation. It finished 3-1 to the Merseysiders, with Dimitar Berbatov scoring our goal.
Fifteen names have been confirmed in our squad for the return match, with the potential for more players to be added before the weekend.
Danny Pugh, Darron Gibson and Fraizer Campbell will also make their maiden appearance, slotting in alongside regular favourites such as Denis Irwin, Jaap Stam and Ronny Johnsen.
Ex-skipper Antonio Valencia is scheduled to make another appearance, while Berbatov looks set to lead the line.
