Line-ups: Shaw set for 300th United appearance

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is set to make his 300th appearance for the club in Sunday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

The defender has been named in Ruben Amorim's starting XI for the 12:00 GMT kick-off, as the boss makes two changes from Monday's home defeat to Everton.

Diogo Dalot and Mason Mount come into our side at Selhurst Park, replacing Noussair Mazraoui and Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu.

It's expected to be the same back three in front of goalkeeper Senne Lammens, with Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt due to line up alongside Shaw on his milestone day.

With Mazraoui coming out the team, Amad - who played higher up the pitch on Monday - is likely to play at right wing-back, with the incoming Dalot on the opposite side.

Casemiro and captain Bruno Fernandes are set to start a seventh successive Premier League game alongside each other in midfield.

Mount could take the left no.10 spot vacated by Amad, opposite Bryan Mbeumo on the right and behind Joshua Zirkzee, who seems poised to lead the line in back-to-back matches, at the top of Amorim's 3-4-2-1 system.

Long-term absentee Lisandro Martinez is a substitute again as he moves towards a return to action, while our nine-strong bench also includes Academy forward Shea Lacey.

Speaking to Premier League Productions ahead of the game, Amorim explained why Dalot and Mount have come into his team in the capital.

“I think, first of all, it's the way you train. They train really well, the others too, but they train really well,” the boss said.

“And then the tactical aspect, we know that [Daniel] Munoz [Crystal Palace's attack-minded right wing-back] is the guy that makes more runs, the guy that appears more in the second post to score, and Diogo maybe is our full-back with more quality on that. He needs to stay focused.

“Mason Mount is really smart, gives us more possession, he’s intense. He can score goals, so it's one more player to be near the box.”

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are unchanged from their last top-flight outing; a 2-0 victory away to Wolves last Saturday.

Amorim's comments suggest that Dalot will start as United's left wing-back, on the same side as Munoz.
