Lisandro Martinez marks 100 games
Lisandro Martinez has been presented with a special shirt at Carrington, after reaching 100 appearances for the club.
Licha passed the milestone at Turf Moor on Wednesday night, as he completed the full 90 minutes of our 2-2 draw with Burnley.
That was his ninth outing across all competitions since he returned from knee surgery in late November.
Our no.6 is the 228th different player to rack up a century of appearances for the Reds, but only the third from Argentina.
His former team-mate Alejandro Garnacho played 144 times for United, before joining Chelsea in the summer.
Marcos Rojo, also a central defender from the South American nation, represented the Reds on 122 occasions.
Martinez thought he'd increased his tally of United goals in east Lancashire, only to see his first-half effort ruled out for a foul on Kyle Walker.
The former Ajax man has scored three times for the Reds, each of them coming away from home, against Arsenal, Fulham and Liverpool.
