Loan Watch: Levitt nets a vital goal

Manchester United midfielder Dylan Levitt netted a vital goal for Dundee United at the weekend, as the 21-year-old looks to help his loan club secure European qualification for the first time in 10 years.

The Terrors defeated Motherwell 1-0 in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, as the Welsh international swept home his fifth goal in all competitions.

With just three games remaining in the 2021/22 campaign, Thomas Courts' team are three points clear of fifth-placed Ross County and four ahead of Motherwell.

Levitt linked up with Dundee United back in August and has featured 27 times in total so far this season.

James Garner was also in fine form once again, as the midfielder registered both his ninth and tenth assists of the season, during Nottingham Forest's stunning 5-1 home win over Swansea City.

With just two games left to play in the Championship, Steve Cooper's men now have a mouth-watering clash with Bournemouth to look forward to on Tuesday evening, with both clubs striving to join already-promoted Fulham in the Premier League next season via the automatic places.

Forest's final fixture of the regular season is away to Hull City on Saturday and if they miss out on the top two, Garner could well be involved in the play-off semi-finals in a fortnight's time and then the final at Wembley on 29 May.

Nathan Bishop claimed his 15th clean sheet of the season during Mansfield Town's 2-0 win over Stevenage, with Nigel Clough's team inside the League Two play-off places by just two points.

The Stags face Salford City on Tuesday night, knowing a victory will edge them ever closer to a top-seven finish. Town then host already-promoted Forest Green Rovers on the final day of the season, with the visitors bidding to be crowned champions.

Bishop's fellow goalkeeper Matej Kovar played 90 minutes too, as Burton Albion were edged out 2-1 by play-off hopefuls Wycombe Wanderers in League One.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side had equalised with just 18 minutes remaining through Gassan Ahadme, before Jordan Obita struck the winner just five minutes before time.

Meanwhile, in Scotland's Old Firm derby, Amad Diallo was a late substitute for Rangers during their 1-1 away draw with arch-rivals Celtic. The 19-year-old came off the bench to replace Scott Arfield in the 87th minute.

Brandon Williams thanks the Norwich fans for their support at Villa Park.

Brandon Williams played the full game for Norwich City as they were relegated from the Premier League following their 2-0 defeat at Aston Villa.

Having made 28 appearances so far this season, the left-back has four games remaining until the end of his loan spell with the Canaries.
