Manchester United staged another famous comeback to defeat Atalanta 3-2 in the Champions League - but who was our Man of the Match?

There was plenty of excitement at Old Trafford as the Reds battled back from a 2-0 half-time deficit, inflicted by Mario Pasalic and Merih Demiral's goals for the Serie A side.

Marcus Rashford gave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men hope with a cool finish from a brilliant Bruno Fernandes pass, before Harry Maguire swept home at the back post to level the scores.

It called for a hero and step forward, predictably, Cristiano Ronaldo to head home the winner in front of an ecstatic Stretford End.

What a comeback! Who gets your vote for Man of the Match?

There were plenty of candidates after the stirring second half but, understandably, Ronaldo came out on top. September's Player of the Month picked up an impressive 41 per cent of the votes to finish well clear.

His fellow Portugal international Fernandes, who claimed two assists and came close to scoring when forcing a fine save out of visiting keeper Juan Musso, was runner-up and Opta reported that he created eight chances, the most by a United player in the competition since the records were logged from 2003/04.

David De Gea, who made a key double save in the second half, which proved pivotal in the context of the tie, came third on 16 per cent, with Rashford next on 11 per cent after a thrilling return to the starting line-up featured the goal that sparked the comeback and a shot against the bar at the end of the first half.

It is Ronaldo's first Man of the Match award since the one he won on his second debut for the club, in the 4-1 defeat of Newcastle United at Old Trafford on 11 September.
