Ole reveals team news for Atalanta trip

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an update on his squad ahead of the Champions League clash against Atalanta.

The Reds are flying to Italy for a first-ever outing at the Gewiss Stadium, buoyed by the 3-0 victory at Tottenham on Saturday.

Ole's men are looking to consolidate top spot in Group F, following back-to-back home wins against Villarreal and Atalanta in the competition, with Tuesday night's 20:00 GMT kick-off preceding the weekend derby with Manchester City in the Premier League.

Paul Pogba is available despite his domestic ban, following the red card against Liverpool, and is a contender for a place in the line-up, while his fellow Frenchman, Anthony Martial, has been absent since the last international break.

Both made the flight to Bergamo but Victor Lindelof missed out after sustaining a slight knock in training at Carrington on Monday.

The manager opted for a three-man central defence in the 3-0 win at Tottenham on Saturday and may do so again, with Atalanta also operating with wing-backs.

"We want everyone to be raring to go and they are," he told club media's Gemma Thompson at Carrington. "I think with Paul coming back in, we've got another option there to give them problems."

During his press conference, he added: "We are looking alright in the training session this morning. Everyone was on there. There were a couple of little twinges in the training session but I don't think they will be major.

"I cannot give you the game-plan or the tactics but we have a squad to play many different ways. You can put any tactics out or system out, it was the players within it and how they executed the roles that was the difference on Saturday. The quality we played with was more important than the system."

ATALANTA TEAM NEWS

Jose Palomino may not be fit as he picked up a thigh injury against Sampdoria and missed the draw with Lazio. The home side could also be without Rafael Toloi, Berat Djimsiti, Matteo Pessina, Robin Gosens and Hans Hateboer.

Duvan Zapata is likely to lead the line while Martin De Roon, who scored the injury-time equaliser at the weekend against Lazio, is only one booking away from a suspension in the competition.
