Manchester United will play Fulham at Old Trafford in the fifth round of the 2024/25 Emirates FA Cup.

The tie will be played around the weekend of the 1/2 March and the Cottagers are our third Premier League opponents in this season's competition.

The holders knocked Arsenal out in the third round, beating the Gunners on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

We then eliminated Ruud van Nistelrooy's Leicester 2-1 on Friday, with Harry Maguire scoring the winner in front of the Stretford End in the 93rd minute.

Marco Silva's side have reached this stage via wins over EFL opposition, with Watford beaten at Craven Cottage in January and Wigan Athletic seen off on Saturday.

Rodrigo Muniz scored both goals at the Brick Community Stadium, as Fulham confirmed a place in round five for only the second time in the last eight seasons.

The capital club made it to the quarter-finals in 2023, losing to United in the most recent FA Cup meeting between the sides.

In a memorable and action-packed encounter, the Cottagers led through Aleksandar Mitrovic, but the tie turned on a penalty awarded for a handball by Willian, who was shown a red card.

Mitrovic and Silva were also sent off in the aftermath of the incident, and Bruno Fernandes slotted home the spot-kick.

After Marcel Sabitzer had cleverly put us ahead, the Portuguese midfielder scored again as we secured a seventh straight FA Cup win over Fulham - a run dating back to 1979, when we overcame them in the fourth round after a replay.

This will be the 16th meeting between the sides in the competition and Fulham have won just two of the previous ties - in 1905 and 1908. All five Old Trafford clashes have gone our way.

United also have a good recent record against Fulham, with last month's victory at the Cottage - courtesy of Lisandro Martinez's goal - completing a league double.

Elsewhere in the fifth round, Plymouth Argyle's reward for eliminating Liverpool is a trip to Manchester City.

Carabao Cup finalists Newcastle United host Brighton & Hove Albion, while Wolves travel to Bournemouth in the other tie between two top-flight clubs.
