Seven players added to Europa League squad
Manchester United have added seven players to our Europa League squad via the B list.
Club-trained players born on or after 1 January 2003, who have been with their employers for an uninterrupted period of a minimum of two years, are allowed to be considered for selection, in addition to the original 25-man group.
An unlimited number of players can be registered on the B list during the campaign but the paperwork must be completed no later than midnight (CET) on the day before a game.
With our first assignment rapidly approaching tonight (20:00 BST kick-off), against Erik ten Hag's former club FC Twente, there are more options available to the boss for the Old Trafford encounter.
As expected, regulars Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are included, as they fall into this category due to their youth, despite already establishing themselves in the senior game and both scoring in last season's Emirates FA Cup final victory over Manchester City at Wembley.
Garnacho scored his maiden goal for the first team in this competition, the winner away to Real Sociedad in November 2022.
Toby Collyer, who made his Premier League debut against Liverpool earlier this month, is also included and the midfield ranks are further swelled by Dan Gore and Sam Mather.
Both Academy men played in the Under-21s' entertaining 3-3 draw at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night in the EFL Trophy. It was a first outing of the season for Gore, with the 19-year-old (he turns 20 on Thursday) captaining the team, while Mather opened the scoring in the first half.
Defender Louis Jackson came on as a substitute for Gore just past the hour mark and claimed the stoppage-time equaliser. The Scotland Under-19 international is also on the B list.
United won a penalty shootout 5-3 to take a bonus point in the Bristol Street Motors-sponsored competition.

The seventh man on the list is Ethan Wheatley, who also played at the Eco-Power Stadium and converted one of the penalties in the shootout.
The homegrown striker has been around Erik's senior squad of late, after making three Premier League appearances in 2023/24.
Although only five substitutes can come on, up to 12 can be named on the bench for European fixtures.
