United and adidas launch 22/23 third kit
We’re proud to officially unveil the new Manchester United third kit for the 2022/23 season, which debuts a unique, all-over design - never seen before - in a striking green colourway.
It boasts a crewneck collar, which has been designed with a statement graphic design, directly inspired by the Zeitgeist fashion culture of the 1990’s.
This one completes a trifecta of three kits that not only look great on the pitch, but off it too and it’s now available to buy at United Direct here.
Discussing the story behind the design, Inigo Turner, Design Director at adidas said: “A convergence of cultural icons remixed and recoded, the 22/23 third kit takes its inspiration from the iconic Manchester United graphic identity, using geometric shapes and patterns.
“We’ve blended these with a new interpretation of a classic club colour for a fresh, eye-catching kit.”
From a performance perspective, the jersey is available in two versions, authentic and replica.
Whilst both are made from 100% recycled materials, which is a part of adidas’ mission to combat plastic waste, there are some subtle differences between them.
Thanks to adidas’s latest and innovative temperature regulation technology, you can focus on the game ahead of you.
HEAT.RDY technology is designed to maximise airflow and optimise sweat distribution, which in turn keeps you cool, calm and confident during the game.
Similar to adidas’ HEAT.RDY technology, the replica version utilises AEROREADY technology.
This manages your sweat, to keep you comfortable whilst you show off your incredible support.
