United's Champions League B list released

Monday 19 October 2020 15:49

Manchester United have added four players to the squad for the Champions League opener at Paris Saint-Germain.

The original A-list squad was submitted to UEFA on 8 October but the 25-man group could be added to with players from the B list, up to midnight on the day before the game.

Those on the B list are homegrown youngsters aged 21 or under.

The new quartet were confirmed by UEFA on Monday afternoon, as the Reds flew out to the French capital in preparation for the tie at the Parc des Princes.

Ondrej Mastny, Teden Mengi, Brandon Williams and Mason Greenwood are the players in question.

Teenager Mastny, who hails from the Czech Republic, is a fourth keeper in the official squad, alongside David De Gea, Dean Henderson and Lee Grant.

Mengi played for the Under-23s on Saturday against Arsenal but was promoted to the senior squad at the start of the season. Williams and Greenwood are long-established members of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side and both started last season's Europa League semi-final with Sevilla, of course, in our last European outing.

Solskjaer may provide more information on his actual travelling party when he holds a press conference in Paris around 18:00 BST.

An extended 23-man matchday squad can be named as five substitutions are permitted in the competition.

We'll be covering all the build-up from the French capital on ManUtd.com and in our Official App.
