Saturday 02 September 2023 10:00

Manchester United's Champions League group-stage dates for the 2023/24 season can now be revealed.

Following Thursday's proceedings in Monaco, Erik ten Hag's side will face Bayern Munich, FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray in Group A.

United are set to begin our European endeavours with a trip to face Bayern Munich on matchday one at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday 20 September (kick-off 20:00 BST).

Our first home outing will come against Galatasaray at Old Trafford on Tuesday 3 October (20:00 BST) on matchday two.

The Reds will face Danish, German and Turkish clubs on our return to Europe's elite competition.

We then host Danish outfit and former side of striker Rasmus Hojlund, FC Copenhagen, on matchday three in M16, with that game set to take place on Tuesday 24 October (kick-off 20:00 BST).

The reverse fixture at Parken Stadium will follow next on matchday four, as the Reds travel to Scandinavia for the first time since 2016. The confirmed date for that encounter is Wednesday 8 November (20:00 GMT).
An undoubtedly tricky test to Istanbul then comes on matchday five against Okan Buruk's Galatasaray side, with the Reds set to play at Rams Park on Wednesday 29 November. An earlier kick-off time of 17:45 GMT has been confirmed for that clash.

Our final group-stage game is set to be played on home soil on matchday six, with a mammoth meeting with Bayern Munich penned in for Tuesday 12 December (kick-off 20:00 GMT) at the Theatre of Dreams.

Back amongst Europe's elite for the first time under Ten Hag, fans will hope for a safe passage through to the knockout stage, with this year's final set to be played at none other than Wembley Stadium in London.

Our last inclusion in the Champions League, back in 2021/22, saw the Reds eventually eliminated by Atletico Madrid in the Round of 16, and supporters will no doubt be hoping to go beyond that stage this season.
