Manchester United midfielder Dylan Levitt is set to gain valuable first-team experience for the remainder of the season by joining Croatian top-flight side Nogometni Klub Istra 1961 on loan, subject to international clearance.

The Wales international has taken the decision to further his development by experiencing playing abroad.

Levitt, who made his senior United debut in the Europa League clash with Astana last season, returned from his temporary spell at Charlton Athletic in January after United activated his recall clause.

Wales international midfielder's recall clause has been activated by the Reds.

The midfielder could make his Istra 1961 debut in their Croatian Cup round-of-16 match against HNK Sibenik on Wednesday.

United currently have nine Academy players out on loan from the Under-23s group with the players experiencing a wide range of opportunities which will stand them in great stead when they return to the club.

While allowing the loanees the chance to experience senior football, the process also enables the next group of younger players to test themselves by playing up an age group in Neil Wood’s Under-23s side.

Everybody at United would like to wish Dylan the best of luck this term as we follow his progress closely at the Aldo Drosina Stadium.
