Confirmed: United's squad for Sevilla trip

Wednesday 19 April 2023 15:30

Manchester United's 21-man squad for the second leg of our Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla includes four recent absentees.

Tyrell Malacia, Marcus Rashford, Marcel Sabitzer and Luke Shaw are all among the players selected by Erik ten Hag, after being pictured in an open training session at Carrington earlier today (Wednesday).

The Reds are travelling to the Spanish city of Seville for the second round in a row, after beating Real Betis in the last 16, and are looking to reach the semi-finals following our 2-2 first-leg draw at Old Trafford last week.

Bruno Fernandes is not in the squad to face the six-time Europa League winners after picking up a yellow card - and a suspension - in the first leg.

Scott McTominay is also missing, with the midfielder remaining in Manchester to continue his recovery from an injury. He is expected to be out of action for a few more games.

Like Donny van de Beek, Alejandro Garnacho is still unavailable but there are places on the plane for his fellow Academy products Zidane Iqbal and Radek Vitek.
