Hockenhull seals Brentford transfer

Manchester United Academy defender Ben Hockenhull has completed a move to Championship club Brentford.

The young centre-back signed a third-year scholarship registration agreement with United after the Academy season was curtailed due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Ben Hockenhull strides forward during the FA Youth Cup win over Leeds at Old Trafford.
He has now sealed a move to the Bees, who are in the Championship play-offs, following significant interest from a variety of clubs, after United provided assistance to support Ben in finding a new team.

Hockenhull joined United when he was nine years old and featured 22 times for Neil Ryan’s Under-18s side over the last two seasons, including in the FA Youth Cup.

Indeed, the 18-year-old played his penultimate game for the club in the FA Youth Cup quarter-final victory over Wigan Athletic at Old Trafford.

Everybody at Manchester United would like to wish Ben well for the future following his departure.
