Yoro: 'I'm ready for tomorrow and today'

Leny Yoro says he is ready for the next challenges that come his way, after turning 20.

The Manchester United centre-back leaves his teens behind him, with 44 appearances under his belt for the club, since arriving from Lille in 2024.

After making a positive impression at Old Trafford, he is taking everything in his stride as he continues to enhance his reputation as one of the top young defenders in Europe.

One of our best performers in the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur, last season, the Frenchman can clearly handle the pressure that comes with playing for the Reds and is relaxed about how he, and the team, will keep improving.

"Of course," he replied to club media, when asked if he was excited by what lies ahead after this landmark birthday.

"I'm always positive about this. I think the team is going to do really well in the future, even here in the present. So, first, I face every day slowly and I am not watching [out] too much for the future.

"I'm just ready for tomorrow and ready for today.

"I think the team is going to do better in the future, of course, and everyone needs things like this."

On the immediate horizon for Leny are his duties for France Under-21s.

The talented side face European Championship qualifiers against Switzerland, on Friday, and Faroe Islands, next Monday.

Portugal currently top Group C but coach Gerard Baticle can call upon the likes of Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi and Tottenham Hotspur pair Wilson Odobert and Mathys Tel.

Many happy returns, Leny, from all of us at United!
